Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) Bengaluru is a landmark among engineering colleges in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It is a constituent of Nitte Education Trust which has under its aegis Nitte (Deemed to be University) and 43 plus professional and educational institutes of repute. It is a matter of distinction that NMIT, Bengaluru is the only unaided private engineering college in Karnataka State that has been selected by the Govt. of India for World Bank Funding under TEQIP Phase II. Established in 2001, NMIT is the youngest engineering college in the country to be conferred with Autonomous Status in the hands of Visvesvaraya Technological University Belgaum, a prestigious Technological University in the country.
